Many of you have already begun to prepare for your ISO Transition Audit. Some have already had an ISO Transition Audit performed. Although their Quality System has been updated to the new requirements, some companies are still failing their audits. This may come as a surprise.
So what is the number one problem being found?
The KEY finding is LACK OF EVIDENCE.
This occurs because there is not enough TIME factored in between implementing and the actual audit.
Don’t wait until last minute. You NEED results for evidence. Three months is strictly a MINIMUM suggestion of time for evidence that the system works. It is definitely better to have more. Many will FAIL their audit without at least the minimum.
Things to consider when preparing for your ISO Transition Audit:
- Do an Internal Audit of the entire Quality System to validate changes.
- Complete one full Management Review to the 2015 requirements.
- You will need a minimum of three months evidence gathered prior to your ISO Transition Audit for an Auditor to verify.
